Mulamoottil Group is one of the biggest family-run businesses in Kerala. Two centuries and Six generations back, in the early 1800s, the family ventured into money lending activities that were typical for that era. Soon the successors of the family stepped into Ayurveda Netra Chikitsa (Ayurvedic eye care) as well.
The family grew, and the business expanded its wings, and has become one of the most successful business groups in Kerala.

Kozhencherry
Gradually the group added independent businesses like Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), Micro-Finance, Leasing, Mortgage Loans and spearheaded the domination of Chit (retail banking) business in the early 1990s.
By the turn of the century, the Group forayed into new segments like Healthcare, Education, Hospitality, and Agriculture. The latest in the ever-growing Mulamoottil business sphere is Mulamoottil Central School, the most environment-friendly school the region has ever seen.
An idea seeded in the small-town of Kozhencherry a few centuries back has now grown into an expansive business conglomerate with interests in almost every district in Kerala.
